BLC IMPACT AND SUCCESSES FROM 2008 - 2010

  • Successful project management and implementation: career expo’s and enterprise development projects
  • More than 100 small enterprises registered on database and being assisted by BLC
  • The Department of Trade and Industry approved BLC as enterprise development project
  • Various corporate companies received recognition for investment in BLC (BBBEE scorecard)
  • Provide various training courses to small enterprises and to business community
  • Assisted many small enterprises with vendor database registration, business registration and funding applications
  • Various tenders received from corporate companies, which is available to members
  • Successful study and compilation of Investors’ Guide
  • International investors and co-managing of projects
  • Investment Information - reliable and informative

  • Kanhym Estates stated that the BLC took 3 months of their project with assistance regarding supplier search. (Christoff)
  • Columbus Stainless and Samancor Chrome claimed that the BLC took a heavy weight of their shoulders with the assistance of registering suppliers on BLC database that was not yet successful to register on the company's vendor databases. (Elaine)
  • Eskom are very grateful towards the BLC with regards to assistance with BB-BEE certification, identifying projects and registering SMME's in Delmas and Emalahleni area. (Brenda)
  • The German Development Cooperation are pleased with the overall progress of the BLC and stated it is very successful with the achievements. And it was stated that the BLC are one of the very few successful projects in the country. (Iris)
